Vule Airways Use of Electronics Policy

The acronym PED herein after means: Portable Electronic Device. The following list encloses all the approved PEDs in any of the Vule Airways aircraft:

  • Mobile phones / smartphones
  • Electronic tablets
  • Electronic and personal noise cancel headphones
  • MP3, MP4… and music digital players
  • Handheld portable electronic games
  • Laptops, iPads and notebooks
  • E-readers
  • Bluetooth devices
  • Personal photo and video cameras (not professional)
  • Handheld DVD/CD players

The transportation of medical electronic devices needed to maintain physiological functions of passengers that require medical attention, is allowed only if those devices do not transmit or have a transmitter mode.


Prohibited PED

It is forbidden in any aircraft of Vule Airways to use any type of electronic cigarette.

Prohibited use of PED

Any type of PED (including any electronic cigarette) may not be used during refueling or defueling. They must also be turned off, even if they have "airplane / flight mode".

Approved use of PED

Mobile phones and other PED with antenna or otherwise that emit electromagnetic waves may be used aboard any aircraft of Vule Airways whenever the doors are open. Within the above devices, are included all devices that can send or receive calls, text messages, photos or any type network messaging services.


Exceptional cases prohibiting use of PED

During any phase of the flight, the Pilot-in-Commander (PIC) may order to stow and, or to switch off completely any PED on-board in the case of suspected interference or anomalies detected in the aircraft systems operation (even when if PEDs have any “airplane / flight mode” option).

It IS NOT allowed to use personal headphones on the seats placed in the rows located in the emergency exits during critical phases of flight (taxiing, take-off and landing).

Checked-in Electronic Devices

Electronic devices that are checked in with your luggage shall be switched off at all time. These include but not limited to:

  1. Phase
  2. Handheld PEDs
  3. Larger PEDs
  4. Personal headphones
  5. WIFI, text and phone call functions

All PEDs MUST be switched off during the following phases of flight:

  1. Taxi-out 
  2. Take-off
  3. Cruise (except upon permission by the PIC)
  4. From 10 Minutes onwards to landing (announcement to be done on Public Address System)
  5. Landing
  6. Taxi-in
